The new Sherman Hospital, at the corner of Randall and Big Timber Roads in Elgin, is being built to meet the healthcare needs of the growing community, with an eye toward the future. Everything about the hospital is built with the patient in mind. From all-private spacious rooms, many with views of our geothermal lake to an emergency department with reduced wait times and efficient design, the hospital is set to be the community hospital focused on healing.
The new Sherman Hospital includes a Heart and Vascular Center with state-of-the-art equipment, a 15 acre geothermal lake that will heat and cool the hospital, a stand alone Cancer Care Center with comprehensive treatment options, and a new Birthing Center with the special care nursery, C-section suite, and the labor/delivery/recovery room all on one floor. And that list doesn't even include the extra touches, like a cafeteria with a la carte dining, a bright and open design that contributes to the healing process, and family visiting lounges with complimentary snacks. We are excited for our new home, which will help us serve the Elgin-area for years to come and work toward our vision of becoming one of the best community hospitals in the nation.
